Industrial & Commercial SikaFloor Systems in Pittsburgh
When a facility floor needs to handle chemical spills, forklift traffic, ESD sensitivity, or food-grade compliance, the right epoxy or urethane system makes the difference. SikaFloor delivers that range: self-leveling underlayments for slab prep, epoxy and urethane toppings for industrial and commercial use, and specialty systems for electronics, food processing, and high-traffic zones. Pittsburgh Concrete installs SikaFloor systems matched to your facility's actual demands, with the prep and application discipline that keeps the system performing. Product ecosystem
The SikaFloor Product Line Explained
SikaFloor is not one product but a family of systems, each engineered for different facility conditions. SikaTop self-leveling products flatten slabs and correct elevation changes before finish coats go down. SikaFloor epoxy systems provide durable, chemical-resistant toppings for warehouses, manufacturing, and commercial spaces. Urethane-based SikaFloor products handle more aggressive chemical exposure and temperature swings. Specialty lines address ESD (electrostatic dissipation) for electronics assembly, food-grade compliance with cove base integration, and anti-slip aggregate for high-traffic zones.
The system you need depends on what the floor will face: forklift wheels, chemical spills, moisture, temperature cycling, or static sensitivity. We assess the facility conditions on-site, then specify the matched SikaFloor system and install it to Sika's technical spec. That match is what makes the warranty real.
Pair SikaFloor with Sika waterproofing for moisture control, Sika repair for substrate prep, and our warehouse flooring and commercial floor services for the full scope.
Installation sequence
How SikaFloor Installation Unfolds in Pittsburgh
-
Assess facility use and conditions
We walk the space and document the actual use: production equipment, chemical handling, traffic patterns, temperature swings, moisture sources. This assessment drives the system selection.
-
Prepare the concrete slab
The slab is ground to the SikaFloor profile, old coatings and contaminants removed, cracks repaired with Sika-compatible materials, and the surface cleaned and primed per system spec.
-
Apply SikaFloor in layers
The system is applied in sequence: primer, body coat, aggregate broadcast if slip resistance is required, and topcoat at the engineered thickness. Each layer cures before the next begins.
-
Document and release
Installation records, material batch numbers, and cure schedules are documented for warranty support. The floor is handed off with maintenance guidance and ready for service.
Why system match matters
Choosing the Right SikaFloor for Your Facility
A SikaFloor system rated for chemical resistance but not forklift loads will spall under wheel traffic. A system rated for heavy traffic but light on chemical resistance will degrade under spills. The system must match the facility's actual demands, not a generic assumption. That match comes from understanding both the SikaFloor product range and the real conditions your floor will face.
We coordinate SikaFloor selection with the rest of your facility's concrete needs. If you have manufacturing floors in one zone and food processing in another, each zone gets the matched system. Larger projects benefit from industrial concrete planning that sequences the work and minimizes downtime.
